All Who are Thirsty     ΠΑΝΤΕΣ ΟΙ ΔΙΨΟΥΝΤΕΣ

This very short praise song revolves around the text of Revelation 22:17". It is sung by Vineyard UK on their album Surrender. ©1998 Vineyard Songs (UK/Eire) Words and Music by Brenton Brown and Glenn Robertson. The chorus has become a song in itself - without the leading and trailing '...Come.' lyrics. I've added a couple of additional come lines, and may even try a verse based on the woman at the well.

All Who are Thirsty

All who are thirsty
All who are weak
Come to the fountain
Dip your heart in the stream of life
Let the pain and the sorrow
Be washed away
In the waves of his mercy
As deep cries out to deep (we sing)

Come Lord Jesus come
[repeat 3 times]

Holy Spirit come
[repeat 3 times]

As deep cries out to deep
[repeat 2 times]

John 4: 6-15 The woman at the well:

I have changed the line 'Deep calls out to Deep' in line 8 to 'by his blood'. Line 7 was too difficult to fit all on one line, and I thought the reference directly to Christ and his blood was appropriate. Also, it gives another chance to add another 3rd declension noun ending in -ματ.

Use in Greek Pedagogy

This song can be used early on. It is short and simple. It contains primarily imperatives and many 3rd declension nouns.

3rd Declension nouns: πάντες, ἀσθενές, παθήματα, κύμασι, χάριτος, αἴματι,
