The text of Westcott and Hort (1881) is the union of the text of Christian Classics Ethereal Library (with corrections) and the text by Perseus with corrections by Charles Hill. The English section titles (κεφαλια) are taken from the UBS text (United Bible Society Greek New Testment, version 4); The corresponding Greek κεφαλια are my translations of the USB titles. The Greek κεφαλια starting with Περὶ are the actual κεφάλια which began to appear in manuscripts around the ninth century A.D. They are taken from J. A. Cramer's Catenae Graecorum patrum in Novum Testamentum (1844), cf. pp. 261-262. The USB titles are more than the ancient kafalia, where they overlap and/or the ancient kefalia covers two UBS sections, I have included the original kefalia in parentheses starting with an elispsis (...Περὶ ....). |
